Promotion is only needed for weak stories

Mail panic

BottomOh god – why are there occasionally stories that leave you feeling that the Mail may be right, the world is going to hell in a hand cart and that the PC brigade has gone mad.

But yesterday’s piece in the Times on a man receiving a caution for pinching a journalist’s bottom was one such story.

The journalist was fine with it. The man obviously was. But the police thought it was a bit much and pressed charges. Utter madness.

Aargh, it’s happening. I’m turning into a Daily Mail reader. Oh god, oh god, oh god.

So, in an effort to calm myself down I have looked at the Mail’s web site.

And discovered I’m still normal. Or as normal as I was anyway.

If nothing else the picture of Littlejohn and his ranting opinions still induces a cold sweat and, for some reason, a perceived smell of farts.

Phew.
