I know eBay thinks Google is evil. But I love it. Not only has it got Google Earth, the best thing on the planet for whiling away the hours searching for everything possible – random jet planes (yes, there is one) to nudey sunbathers (yes, several have been tracked down by radio stations) to, well places I’ve been and would like to go.
But I digress slightly.
Google has just taken its news service one stage better. Here I was, doing the three minutes research for a blog on ‘create your own Facebook’ website Ning.com when I saw articles dating back a bit longer than I expected.
Google really has done the amazing and has referenced tablets dating back to the middle ages. Ning alone brought up references from 622AD. Both God and Jesus gives references from 600BC. Whilst all of these will be translated and interpreted later documents there is something special about documenting these parts of the world too.
It’s not often that I’m capable of giving praise to tech firms but this is one of those times. I think I’m now going to have to take a shower. I feel corporately dirty.
